In April Charis was named as one of the suppliers on the new CCS Voucher Schemes Framework. Through the framework we will have the opportunity to partner with local authorities and other government departments to deliver voucher-based solutions to meet a wide range of citizen’s needs.
The acceptance onto the new framework follows a winter of growing demand for emergency support products from charities, local authorities, and housing associations. Over the period from November to March – Charis delivered 60,000 emergency vouchers and saw a 43% increase in partners. It is likely this pattern will continue over the coming months as the full impact of COVID-19 on levels of indebtedness, acute poverty and unemployment is realised.
Charis is committed to working with our partners to ensure that we are delivering effective and relevant support in the best way possible to vulnerable individuals in their community. As a result of the Framework we have the opportunity to work with even more public sector bodies throughout the UK to deliver critical food, fuel and other voucher-based services to the people who need it the most.
We are very happy to have been named as a supplier on the CCS Voucher Schemes Framework. Charis appreciates the vast amount of emergency support which is needed because of the COVID pandemic and as a result see this new scheme as crucial to facilitating a simpler and more transparent way of getting help to communities who need it.
I believe that through our unique one-stop online shop, we have found a simple way to quickly and easily access a range of vouchers to help vulnerable individuals and families.
Charis was launched in 2003 – with a simple purpose to support those in hardship.
We have come a long way since then and are now the go-to administrator for many essential funds and grants on behalf of major organisations, authorities and charities. Each year we process over 200,000 applications and provide over £50 million worth of support to vulnerable individuals.
We are proud of the positive outcomes we make in people’s lives. As a family owned organisation that has been supporting vulnerable customers and households for nearly two decades we understand the challenges that families across Britain face. And we also understand the challenge that national and local charities and authorities face in getting help to people, when they need it.
Through our online shop we offer emergency utility, food, clothing, supermarket, cash and e-learning vouchers simply and efficiently.
The range of services we offer continues to develop quickly so please speak to us to find out how we can create a bespoke solution for you needs.
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
The Voucher Schemes Framework gives public sector bodies access to voucher based solutions to meet a wide range of citizens needs.
The fully managed service includes the design, implementation and management of schemes tailored to specific needs. That could be grocery or non-grocery vouchers for people in need, including the dispersal of the COVID winter grant or rewards for survey completions.
