Are you ready for the impact of water bill increases?

In addition to the imminent 6.4% increase to the energy price cap, many households across England, Scotland and Wales will face a steep rise in their water bills to pay for infrastructure improvements, supply upgrades and the reduction in sewage discharges.

Having a simple solution to help people struggling to pay their water bills could be important.

Delivering support

Just as the Charis Shop is used by hundreds of organisations to help people with their energy usage, water bill support can be distributed too.

Utilities MasterCard

A prepaid digital MasterCard can be distributed to customers who have a direct debit account or smart PAYG meter for their water supply.

The same product can be used for direct debit gas and electricity accounts or smart PAYG energy meters too.  In other words, customers can decide whether to settle or top up their water or energy supply and even split payment across the two.

The Utilities MasterCard can be sent instantly via email or SMS, depending on the customer’s preference.
