Charis is proud to manage the npower Business Solutions (nBS) Foundation which in little over a year of its launch has already garnered awards for the positive impact it is having on communities within the West Midlands and Yorkshire, where nBS has its head offices.
Charities, social enterprises and schools and universities can apply for up to £100,000 of funding with Charis’s responsibilities including software design and management, application assessment, award disbursement and governance.
The diversity of projects awarded is amazing: from a school sensory garden to a boxing gym providing employability coaching in a deprived neighbourhood; from the installation of solar panels on a church hall to full scale housing renovation and retrofitting for the homeless; from the installation of bee hives and provision of beekeeping training to prison education programmes.
