Project Manager

Location Peterborough

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £37,500 – £50,000 (depending on experience)

Reports To: Director of Commercial; IT; PMO


Main Purpose of the Job

Manage and implement projects to agreed timelines and within budget.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support the business in managing the successful delivery of specific projects on time and within budget
  • Support the business in scoping new projects and managing the project governance
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the business to support the delivery of the assigned project to defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Bring clarity to project planning and work with the business to ensure the best outcomes
  • Produce project plans and status reports in line with internal project governance
  • Support continuous improvement through identifying and implementing improvements to business processes
  • Play an active part in lessons identified and embed a culture of continuous improvement


Knowledge, Experience and Competencies

  • Minimum of 2 years experience successful project delivery
  • Experience of project methodologies such as Prince 2 or other recognised frameworks
  • Experience of process improvement and lean techniques (desirable)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
  • A goal-oriented mindset with ability to take initiative
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • A good communicator, verbal and written communications, and ability to use relationship skills to get the best project outcomes
